Started in 2005, MODESTo! is the end result of the creative passions and
inspirations of husband and wife team, Brad and Stephanie Towell. Emerging from
professional backgrounds in apparel screen printing, graphic design, art direction
and the visual arts, MODESTo! will screen print, sew, assemble, collage, decorate,
embellish, destroy and reconstruct to create their vision. While the world has an
endless supply of "larger than life" and "bling bling" advertising campaigns,
MODESTo! seeks to offer the opposite. Embracing the idea that living a simple and
fulfilled life is as glamorous as it gets. Quality over quantity.
While on a lifelong pursuit of living an inspired life, MODESTo! hopes to be a
source of inspiration while at the same time seeking it. This is evident in
MODESTo's 2009 t-shirt line, which is intended to read like flipping through the
pages of an artists sketch book. Loose and beautifully imperfect images tell a story
about individual process and creative energy.
MODESTo's blog also serves as a source of inspiration for themselves as well as
anyone that seeks it. This online scrapbook is full of innovators, creatives,
musicians, imagery and an inside look to the going ons at MODESTo!
